This morning we caught public transport from Tervuren to the Brussels Midi/zuid station which is closest to the Grand Place (pronounced Gra-nd Plass), one of the most beautiful town Squares in Europe - surrounding the square is the City's Town hall, and several Guild Houses dating back to the 1700s.
One thing We've noticed about Brussels in particular is that most of the sights you can knock over in a day or so, not like Berlin where We really needed those extra couple of days, and even then we could've easily stayed a few more days in Berlin and still had fun!
Today we visited Mannekin Pis, a fairly glorified statue and definitely something you must see when you come to Brussels otherwise you just won't feel much like a tourist.
We also had a break at a cafe over here that serves Delirium Tremens - which is meant to be "The Best Beer in the World". From my own account all I can say is that this Beer in it's own right is great and really tasty, but for my liking it was a little too much like someone had poured half a glass of white wine in with a stella artois and labeled it different.
All in all Brussels is a fantastic place & I'm sure it has more to offer than what we've given it credit for.
Bye for now,
Chris, Leigh, Phil & Sarah. Xo
