Hi Everybody,
Yesterday saw us cramming in several of the main attractions of Paris - we went up the Eiffel tower, went to Notre Dame & The Arc De Triomphe (we waited there for about 10 minutes for a car accident to happen as this is the home of the worlds largest roundabout - 9 lanes across & none of them marked!).
After boarding a train last night for a 13 hour ride in a hot smelly & cramped sleeper carriage, We've arrived in Madrid.
It was fairly easy to get from the main station to our hostel, after a slight mishap where Chris was almost Pick-pocketed by a shifty looking character while getting on to a metro train.
But Leigh saved the day, shoving this caveman away and telling him where to go in the meantime.
Our hostel here is pretty good, has probably the best shower We've had on our trip so far, and is central to pretty much anywhere we want to go here in sunny Madrid (no need to Rug up here it's a balmy 9 degrees celcius!).
Tomorrow we start our Contiki tour meeting them at 5pm, so we have a bit of time up our sleeves to possibly see some sights and get a bit more shopping in.
