Contiki!!

Well Contiki has started and it is all going well, we now get wake up calls :( and stay out late. So everyone usually spends the time travelling on the bus sleeping. We started in Madrid and then made our way to Barcelona which was awesome, it is much more touristy than Madrid and has a lot more interesting sites to offer (including pubs and clubs). They play the same music as home over here (all english songs) including clothing stores which is pretty funny. We went to the biggest club in europe in Madrid which was 7 levels high!! The beers in the club cost 8 euros (about $16 AUD!!), we learnt our lesson quickly. At the cornerstores near our hotels you can get a litre of vodka for 11 euros!! so pre-drinks at the hotel saves a lot of money. We have gotten to know our Contiki group a lot better and there is always a group of at least 15 people willing to head out each night. In Barcelona there are a lot of dodgy people especially at night. After Barcelona we headed to Avignon which was an interesting place to see, we only spent one night here as it is pretty small place. We then moved onto another small town and then we came here to Nice. We went out to dinner last night in Monaco and had a 5 course dinner which was amazing. We then ventured to the Casino in Monte Carlo which was profitable for phil and leigh (lucky number 17). To become a citizen of Monaco it is said that you need to be a BILLIONAIRE!! If you want to buy a house there you don't have to be a citizen though. We got to see some of the Grand Prix track as well. We are right on the coast at the moment and the water is beautiful but instead of sand they have pebbles!!!
